marstall Alpaka+Co is the ideal supplement for llamas and alpacas. It combines hydrothermally macerated cereal flakes with raw fibre and omega-3 vegetable oils.

marstall Alpaka & Co. provides notonly valuable energy, but also key minerals, trace elements and vitamins.

marstall Alpaka+Co is the perfect supplement to the daily forage feed for llamas and alpacas. It contains a variety of vitamins, such as vitamins D and E, which are especially important during the winter months. Trace elements such as copper and zinc support wool growth, while zinc is also important for healthy skin. As part of the intracellular antioxidant system, selenium is an essential ingredient for the muscles and increases the effect of vitamin E.

Our marstall Alpaka+Co also provides alpacas and llamas with valuable raw fibre and energy-rich cereal flakes, so that camelids have all they need, even in demanding situations.

Llamas and alpacas are naturally adapted to extensive husbandry and feeding. The vegetation in their home at between 3,000 and 5,000 metres consists primarily of short and hard grasses. These stems are rich in raw fibre, strong and contain many minerals and trace elements.

Forage

As total herbivores, alpacas and llamas should be given raw fibre-rich, late harvested hay that can be bulked out with a little straw if required. Regular grazing and a salt lick are also essential. Because forage at our latitudes often does not provide alpacas and llamas with sufficient nutrients, feeding a mineralised muesli or corresponding mineral feed is recommended.

Supplements

Because alpacas and llamas have special requirements, a supplement developed especially for these species should always be used. When demands are higher, for instance in pregnant or lactating females, growing youngsters or breeding males, the requirements rise accordingly. The same applies when wool is growing or when the animal is gaining weight. Even if llamas and alpacas are performing specific activities, such as trekking or sales, care should be taken to provide sufficient energy and mineral supplies..
