Alternatives for Isländer Robust-Müsli
Important: Why did the customer feed Icelandic Robust-Müsli?
Reason 1
My robust horse/pony needs a muesli with a chewable structure that provides all the nutrients in a small amount of feed and contains little energy and protein.
Reason 2
My Icelandic horse (or similar) should be supported by the addition of skin herbs and other nutrients rich in vital substances, especially around skin, hoof and hair.
Alternative for reason 1
· The cereal-free, structurally rich alternative with concentrated mineralisation
· and vitamins.
· Even lower in energy than the Isländer Robust-Müsli and therefore particularly suitable for horses that are easy to feed.
· Even smaller amount of feed because of more concentrated nutrients.
Note: It is now proven that protein does not cause laminitis. Therefore also for horses and ponies and especially in weight reduction diets, it is recommended to feed small amounts of highly digestible protein (e.g. amino acid supplements such as the cereal-free marstall Amino-Muskel).
Example rations:
a. Easily foddered robust horse approx. 500 kg BW, light work
previously: 1 kg Isländer Robust-Müsli
new: 0,75 kg Faser-Light
b. Easily foddered robust horse approx. 500 kg BW, only maintenance requirement
previously: 200 g Isländer Robust-Müsli + 60 g Force
new: 200 g Faser-Light + 50 g Force
Alternative for reason 2
· cereal-free, starch-reduced and especially rich in zinc to regenerate the skin.
· Rich in methionine, a sulphur-containing essential amino acid. It is important for stable keratin and strong hair.
· With the proven skin herb mixture of the Icelandic Robust-Müsli, supplemented with turmeric.
· Contains other skin vital substances such as MSM, an organic sulphur compound that is important for the body's natural defences.
Example ration:
Icelandic horse with eczema problems approx. 300 kg BW, easy work
previously: 0.5 kg Isländer Robust-Müsli + 30 ml linseed-thistle oil + 15 g ExZem-Plus
new: 0.5 kg Haut-Vital + 30 ml linseed-thistle oil

Feeding advice
All specified feed quantities are to be given throughout the day in several small feeds. Our recommendations assume a roughage intake (hay) of 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight per day.
If the horse needs more energy, marstall Isländer Robust-Müsli can be combined with oats or with mueslis from our Sport Line. If additional high-quality essential amino acids are required, we recommend our marstall Amino-Muskel Plus with pure amino acids. The amino acids contained in this feed are very easily digestible, which is important for hardy horses that can also be sensitive.
