Zucht-Aktiv
- for fertility, milk production & body condition
- essential amino acids
- metabolism-friendly for mare & foetus
- cereal-free & gentle on the stomach
marstall Zucht-Aktiv is the innovative cereal-free alternative to classic breeding feed. It is de-signed for all mares and stallions that need to be fed in a way that is gentle on the metabo-lism and easy on the stomach and/or for those that put on weight quickly. This breeding muesli promotes fertility. It maintains the mare's body condition during pregnancy and lacta-tion and that of the stallion during breeding. At the same time, it cares for and protects the (unborn) foal. Thanks to its optimised amino acid pattern and organic trace elements as well as important minerals and omega-3 fatty acids, Zucht-Aktiv is perfectly tailored to the needs of the mare, foetus and stallion.
Zucht-Aktiv is an innovative cereal-free feed that is gentle on the metabolism of the mare, stallion and (unborn) foal.
In the last months of pregnancy and during lactation, broodmares need a lot of energy, amino acids, minerals and trace elements to provide themselves and their (unborn) foal with optimum nutrition. However, too much starch in the feed can lead to excessive insulin secre-tion. Together with an excess of energy, this can lead to the mare being overweight and cause inflammations (including in the placenta). Both can impair the health of the foal, for example in the form of impaired cartilage maturation and growth (keyword OCD). Insulin re-sistance and metabolic problems can also be the result.
Zucht-Aktiv is therefore the first breeding feed on the market to use fibre and oil instead of cereals as an energy source. This prevents insulin levels from rising unnecessarily and is also easy on the stomach. In addition, pure L-lysine*, soya*** and brewer's yeast provide an op-timum protein supply. Organic and therefore easily available trace elements and vitamins are tailored to the special requirements of breeding horses.
Thanks to the concentrated formula, breeding horses are optimally supplied with a relatively small amount of Zucht-Aktiv.

Feeding directions
**** Our recommendations assume a forage intake (hay) of 1.5–2,0 kg per 100 kg live weight per day. For lactating mares and stallions at stud, the hay should ideally be from an early 1st cutting (for lactating mares up to 2.5 kg hay per 100 kg LW/day).
This complementary feed for horses contains higher amounts of trace elements and vitamin D3 compared to complete feeds: feed according to the directions given here! Please follow the feeding directions to provide optimum care for your horse

Some studies have shown that insulin has multiple effects on the maturation of cartilage cells and thus on bone quality. An increased insulin concentration, triggered by a lot of starch per meal, can therefore have a negative effect on the foal's growth, insulin sensitivity and metabolism even in the womb. It also favours the development of OCD. Scientists there-fore recommend a low-starch and therefore cereal-free diet, especially for overweight and easy-to-feed mares and mares with metabolic problems.
