marstall MyoCare Müsli is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of horses with PSSM 1, PSSM 2, and RER. It’s made in line with the latest scientific findings and recommendations. MyoCare Müsli is low in starch and sugar but contains an abundance of protein for precaecal digestibility and vitamin E plus manganese, selenium, and oil. marstall MyoCare Müsli promotes well-being in horses with hereditary muscle problems.
Horses with muscle diseases need a high level of precaecal digestible protein to prevent protein deficiencies. marstall MyoCare Müsli is a mix of high-quality native protein and amino acids in pure form. Protein is provided through linseed and peas – this muesli contains no soya products. For the amino acids in pure form, Marstall relies on the proven combination of lysine, threonine, SAS (methionine + cysteine), tryptophan, and valine.
The antioxidants vitamin E, vitamin C and selenium are also essential for optimum muscle function and to protect the muscle cells from free radicals. Horses with PSSM 1, PSSM 2 and RER also need higher amounts of trace elements such as manganese, as well as B vitamins and magnesium. The trace elements are present in their organic form for optimum absorption. Magnesium helps to relax tension in muscles and calms the nerves.
An illness always means stress for the organism, and this stress can quickly affect the stomach. marstall’s high-structure MyoCare Müsli stimulates saliva production when chewed, and this saliva then works with the müsli's sodium carbonate to buffer gastric acid. Omega-3-rich linseed-safflower oil contains anti-inflammatory polyphenols and delivers energy that’s gentle on the stomach.
A healthy stomach and bowel are essential for optimum nutrient absorption from feed. Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans promote bowel health and support the immune system. marstall MyoCare-Müsli’s cereal-free formula contains no added sugar and no lucerne, so it’s also gentle on metabolism.

For that extra portion of energy, MyoCare muesli can be supplemented with our non-mineralised Getreidefre-Mix or our Lein-Distel Öl.
In case of hasty eaters, horses with feed envy, tooth problems etc. we recommend to feed soaked. Then, for example, add 1 litre of warm or cold water to 1 litre of muesli and let it steep for 15 minutes.

Due to the higher content of trace elements and vitamin D3 compared to complete feeds, this supplementary feed for horses may only be fed according to the recommendations given here! Please follow the recommended ration in order to provide your horses with the best possible care for their situation.
Our recommendations assume a roughage intake (hay) of 2.0 kg per 100 kg body weight per day
All specified feed quantities are to be given throughout the day in several small feeds.
