marstall Haut-Vital is a cereal-free muesli made especially for horses with sensitive skin. This applies regardless of whether skin problems are already visible or not. What’s so special about this low-energy formula: a high concentration of beneficial nutrients optimally available to the horse. Its carefully selected ingredients help to boost the skin’s natural function and regeneration.

Haut-Vital is the low-energy muesli for horses with sensitive skin.

Horses with skin irritations benefit from the organically bound trace elements zinc, copper and manganese found in marstall Haut-Vital. It also contains seaweed, diatomaceous earth, brewer’s yeast, natural herbs, linseed and essential Omega-3 fatty acids that keep the skin elastic and strong against pathogens. And it contains MSM, a natural sulphur compound found in Iceland’s soil and grass that supports the body’s natural defences. marstall Haut-Vital contains the important amino acid methionine in pure, pre-caecal digestible form. It’s the essential feed for healthy skin, mane, tail and coat.

marstall Haut-Vital also helps the gastrointestinal tract. It contains a high concentration of nutrients so just a small amount is sufficient, and high-fibre Timothy grass to promote chewing.

Feeding recommendation as a single concentrated feed

Light work

approx. 150 to 200 g per 100 kg BW/day

Moderate work

approx. 200 to 250 g per 100 kg BW/day

Example of a daily ration for a horse of 600 kg body weight

… as a single concentrated feed in addition to hay

Light work

approx. 0,9 to 1,2 kg

Moderate work

approx. 1,2 to 1,5 kg

Depending on the horse's size and energy requirements, we recommend feeding an additional 20 to 100 ml of omega-3-rich oil such as marstall Lein-Distel-Öl.

We recommend feeding Haut-Vital soaked (pour approx. 1 litre of warm or cold water over 1 litre of Haut-Vital and leave to absorb for approx. 15 minutes). This is especially important for horses which rush their food, those which are jealous at feed time or those with dental problems, poor digestion, etc.

1 litre marstall Haut-Vital = approx. 500 grams

Important: Due to the higher content of trace elements and vitamin D3 compared to complete feeds, this supplementary feed for horses may only be fed according to the recommendations given here! Please follow the recommended ration in order to provide your horses with the best possible care for their situation.

Our recommendations assume a roughage intake (hay) of 2 kg per 100 kg body weight per day.

All specified feed quantities are to be given throughout the day in at least 2 partial feeds.
